Japan real wage Up 0.1 pct in Nov.
Jiji -- Jan 10
Japan's price-adjusted real wage index in November last year rose 0.1 pct from a year before, the first increase in 11 months, a labor ministry preliminary report said Tuesday.

The result mainly reflected a marked rise in overall pay, led mainly by an increase in bonuses.

"Wages are on a gradual uptrend," the ministry said.

The October index was revised down to a decline of 0.1 pct from the preliminary reading of 0.2 pct growth.

Total wages, including regular and overtime pay, stood at 278,173 yen on average in November, up 0.9 pct.
