Princess Mako's fiance leaves Japan to study at U.S. law school
Jiji -- Aug 08
Kei Komuro, whose marriage to Japanese Princess Mako has been postponed, left Japan on Tuesday to study at Fordham University's law school in New York.

A U.S. commercial jet carrying Komuro departed from Narita International Airport in Chiba Prefecture, east of Tokyo.

Donned in a dark-colored suit and a blue striped tie, Komuro, carrying a black briefcase in his left hand, arrived at the boarding gate.

With a slightly nervous look on his face, Komuro was ushered into the boarding gate by Chiba prefectural police officers as the press and passengers watched.

He bowed in response to reporters' calls of encouragement and boarded the airplane.
