Tokyo reports five infections; the first time in six days less than 10 recorded

The government of Tokyo confirmed five COVID-19 infections Sunday — the first time in six days the daily figure came in at under 10.

Still, concerns remain despite Sunday's low figure. As of Saturday, untraceable cases comprised 53.2 percent of the infections for the week, while the weekly total was 2.29 times higher than the previous week's number.

Tokyo Gov. Yuriko Koike had said some of the factors that could cause her to issue a new possible outbreak warning include the confirming of 20 new daily cases of coronavirus on average in a week, with more than half of those being untraceable and the city reporting more new infections than it did during the previous week.
