Kimono Mom -- Nov 09

We went to Japanese traditional market to buy the good luck charm for coming year! I hope you enjoy it as if you were there with us.

What's about Tori-no-ichi? It is a traditional annual event in November held on the day of the rooster in Chinese zodiac calendar. As the started as a harvest festival, people come to pray in thanks for the good harvest of the year at the O-tori Shrine, and walk through its precincts full of vendor stalls of auspicious Kumade or rakes to rake in happiness and prosperity to your family and business.
