Man's body found beneath kitchen floor at his house

Police said Friday that the body of a man was found beneath the kitchen floor of his house in Kawaguchi, Saitama Prefecture.
The decomposing body was identified as that of Masao Inoue, 68, who was reported missing by his 28-year-old daughter on Aug 10, TBS reported. Police said Inoue appeared to have been strangled to death and beaten about the head.
According to police, Inoue's daughter noticed a foul smell coming from the storage space under the kitchen floor and discovered the remains on Thursday afternoon.
