We're seeking an experienced and enthusiastic full-time native English teacher for an international (all-English language) preschool. You'll be joining a small, close-knit team of English-speaking Japanese and foreign staff, teaching children aged between 1 and 7. As our school grows, we need teachers who possess both the passion and energy to teach young children. You should have at least some experience of working with groups of young children, and those with relevant qualifications will be preferred. There may also be very occasional lessons for adults involved, so experience in that is a plus. Japanese ability is not required, but at some basic conversational ability is preferred. We ask that all interviewees perform a short demo lesson or activity (about 5-10 minutes) in addition to their interview. We are looking for a kind, caring, intelligent, fun and enthusiastic person who is willing to challenge themselves, and who will fit well into our team. Due to the outstanding success of the English Language Teacher Development Project (ELTDP) in East Malaysia from 2011 to 2013, we are delighted to extend the duration of the project. We are looking for a team of independent, flexible, resilient and self-motivated teacher development mentors to join this exciting project with the Malaysian Ministry of Education (MoE). This is an excellent development opportunity for anyone interested in teacher mentoring in a rural, primary context and a unique chance to experience the biodiversity of Borneo from within its fascinating culture. You will be part of a team of mentors working to provide Malaysian primary teachers with continuous professional development in order to improve the teaching of English in Malaysia. Working as a local teacher mentor within a cluster of primary schools in Malaysian Borneo, you will provide on-the-job support through a variety of development activities depending on the individual needs and context of the teachers you are working with. ECC's Foreign Language Institute is currently seeking applicants for a part-time teaching position at its school in Hiroshima. The position will involve teaching English to a mixture of students in a professional, rewarding and supportive environment. Complete training will be provided at our head office in Osaka. K. International School Tokyo (KIST), an IB World School, is the only school in Tokyo authorized to offer the three IB programs: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP). Founded in 1997, almost all of its graduates have been successful in gaining entry to universities or colleges around the world, many with full or partial scholarships. KIST is currently accepting applications from qualified and experienced MYP Japanese Language B teachers to join its secondary school teaching team for the 2014-2015 academic year (commencing August 2014). Applications will be accepted from persons from any national background; however, native-level fluency in Japanese is essential. Applicants should have strong interpersonal and communication skills and a proven capacity to work collaboratively with colleagues. In addition, applicants should have a genuine interest in children and should be patient and flexible. Previous experience working within the IB curriculum or knowledge of the IB programs is a distinct advantage, although not essential. In order to ensure a quality education for students, KIST employs only certified and experienced teachers. To be eligible for employment, applicants must meet the following requirements: - University degree (minimum Bachelor's degree). - Certification to teach school aged children. This refers to actual classroom teaching certification or credentials through recognized professional teacher registration associations. - Minimum two years' full-time teaching experience relevant to the position. - Native or fluent skills in Japanese with communication skills in English. - IT skills. - Eligibility for an appropriate visa (for non-Japanese nationals). This position begins in May and goes through March of 2015, for all school days. Salary is set at a daily rate with a guaranteed number of working days. Hatano English House (HEH) is a small family owned private school located in the peaceful and beautiful Yamaguchi Prefecture (Yamaguchi City and Hagi). Our workforce consists of a bi-lingual Japanese staff as well as about 3-4 Native English Instructors. HEH has been open for over 25 years and has earned an outstanding reputation in the local area. We are currently seeking a motivated, creative and enthusiastic professional for the position of Native English Instructor. The Instructor is to create progressive lesson plans and teach a variety of students aged 3-18. Additionally, he/she will have regular adult conversation students and other types of private lessons as well. HEH is a sister school of the Tokyo based Pacific Language School (PLS). We send our instructors to paid training in Osaka or Tokyo twice a year to familiarize themselves with the PLS system. We also train our new employees in-house before they take on their own classes. Prior experience teaching and working with children is preferred. The successful candidate should live in or be willing to relocate to the Yamaguchi area. Assistance is available to help find accommodation if needed. Transportation between the two schools will be provided by HEH.
