TOKYO, Feb 04 (News On Japan) - Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries said agricultural, forestry and fishery products and food exports totaled 1.7005 trillion yen in 2025, up 12.8 percent from a year earlier, marking a record high for the 13th consecutive year
Concerns still linger over the impact of Trump-era tariffs on shipments to the United States and export restrictions on seafood to China remain in place. Exports to both markets surpassing the previous year, although the figure still fell short of the government’s 2 trillion yen target.
