Japan's new PM Kishida questioned over scandals related to predecessors in parliament

Past political scandals are haunting Japan's new prime minister Fumio Kishida. Facing parliament for the first time, he was bombarded by questions from the opposition.

Latest media polls have shown public approval for the Kishida Cabinet is one of the lowest for a new Cabinet. Scandals could mean trouble for Mr Kishida as Japan goes to the polls on Oct 31 for a general election.
