KYOTO, Nov 21 (Japan by Food) - How much matcha is too matcha? Never enough in this Kyoto town! Shizuka travels to Uji, the birthplace of this quintessential Japanese green tea, to find out.

From a carefully prepared traditional bowl of frothy matcha, to a bowl of curry udon, she explores how Uji embraces both the historical and the new takes on matcha beverages and cuisine.
