OSAKA, Sep 23 (News On Japan) - The administrative chief of Riyadh Province in Saudi Arabia, the host of the next World Expo in 2030, held discussions with Osaka Governor Hirofumi Yoshimura and other officials to seek advice and share expertise on organizing the global event.
Faisal Ayyaf, governor of Riyadh Province, visited the Osaka-Kansai Expo and met Yoshimura and Osaka Mayor Hideyuki Yokoyama at the Saudi Pavilion. With the Saudi capital set to stage its first World Expo in 2030, Ayyaf requested information on Osaka’s experience in planning and managing the exhibition.
Yoshimura emphasized the importance of carrying forward the Expo’s broader significance, stating, "I hope the social and global meaning of the Expo will also be demonstrated at Riyadh. If we can relay that spirit, it would be a great outcome." He added that Osaka is ready to share as much of its expertise as possible to support the success of Riyadh’s Expo.
