TOKYO, Sep 16 (News On Japan) - Applications for the University Entrance Common Test scheduled for January next year opened on September 16th, with the process shifting for the first time to an online system as the standard method.
Until now, applications had been submitted by mail, with high schools gathering documents and sending them collectively to the National Center for University Entrance Examinations.
With the transition to online applications, students are now able to register and make corrections individually, while teachers are expected to see reduced administrative burdens from checking and revising application forms.
