TOKYO, Oct 07 (News On Japan) - Police have arrested a 43-year-old former employee of Tsuda College in Kodaira, western Tokyo, on suspicion of property damage after he allegedly took a female student’s shorts from a locker and defiled them with bodily fluid.
According to investigators, the suspect, identified as former Tsuda College staff member Yusuke Tanabe, is accused of removing a pair of shorts belonging to a female student from an unlocked locker inside the women’s university’s Kodaira campus and coming on them.
Authorities launched an investigation after receiving reports from the university that an online forum post showed a man splashing bodily fluid on a female student’s shorts, leading to the identification of Tanabe as a possible suspect.
During questioning, Tanabe admitted to the allegations, reportedly telling police, "I have a fetish for women’s clothing and couldn’t control my desires."
The Tokyo Metropolitan Police believe multiple students may have been victimized and are conducting a broader investigation.
Tsuda College issued a statement saying, "We take this incident extremely seriously and are cooperating fully with the authorities. While we have regularly conducted compliance and ethics training for faculty and staff, we will further strengthen our university-wide efforts to ensure a safe learning environment."
