NAGOYA, Oct 15 (News On Japan) - A woman who had been in critical condition after being struck by a small car near JR Nagoya Station was confirmed dead on October 15th, according to Aichi Prefectural Police. The 49-year-old victim was among three pedestrians hit at an intersection in Nakamura Ward when the vehicle veered out of its lane.
A 36-year-old male company employee, who had also been in critical condition, has regained consciousness but suffered a fractured spine and other serious injuries. Another victim, a 48-year-old female temporary worker, also sustained a severe neck fracture. Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash, including the possibility that the driver had crossed over lane markings before the collision.
