As the Going Luffy-senpai made its way toward Zou, the Straw Hat Pirates realized that the Barto Club had almost no experience navigating open waters, forcing them to struggle through a violent hailstorm. Meanwhile, at Marine Headquarters, Admiral Kizaru received word that the Warlord of the Sea, Edward Weevil -- the self-proclaimed son of Whitebeard— -- had annihilated the A O Pirates, marking the sixteenth former Whitebeard subordinate crew he had destroyed.

At the same time, Weevil’s mother, Buckin—who calls herself Whitebeard’s former lover—urged him to continue hunting down all of Whitebeard’s old allies to seize what she claims is his father’s treasure, insisting that Weevil is Whitebeard’s only true heir. Upon hearing news of Donquixote Doflamingo’s defeat, Weevil and Buckin decided to set their sights on Luffy, believing he could lead them to Marco the Phoenix, Weevil’s next target.
