NTT Launches Second-Generation Generative AI Tsuzumi2

Oct 20, 2025 (News On Japan) - NTT announced on October 20th that it has launched "tsuzumi2," the second-generation version of its domestically developed generative AI large language model (LLM). The new model strengthens domain-specific capabilities in high-demand areas such as finance, healthcare, and local government administration.

NTT says tsuzumi2 now delivers Japanese-language performance on par with leading overseas AI models. The company expects revenue from its AI-related business to surpass 150 billion yen by the end of the current fiscal year and exceed 500 billion yen by the end of fiscal 2027.
